Football Bet of the Day: Terrors offer little threat

They're not sure how they do it, but Hamilton Academical keep winning at New Douglas Park

Hamilton Academical's new boss should not fear Dundee United, says Tobias Gourlay

Hamilton v Dundee Utd
Monday 19:45

As Kevin puts his feet up, we're hoping to be swept off ours by a group of outstanding young Scotsmen.

We jumped into bed with Dundee United not so long ago and boy did they show us a good time, thrashing their city rivals 6-2.

Tonight, the Terrors leave the home comforts of Tannadice and travel to South Lanarkshire to meet in-form Hamilton Academical, who have been so good this season that their manager to this point, Alex Neil, has just landed the Norwich City job.

Tonight is interim player-boss Martin Canning's first go, but fourth-placed Accies have scored 16 times en route to winning four of their last five games at New Douglas Park.

They also have the advantage of knowing New Douglas Park's artifical surface better than anyone. In total Hamilton are W6-D2-L0 on home soil since an opening-day defeat to Inverness and have a solid defensive record too, keeping clean sheets in 6/8.

Fifth-placed United come to town having lost four of their last six away games and conceded twice in each of the most recent three.

Visiting teams now alongside them in the Premiership's current top seven, Jackie McNamara's men are W1-D0-L4 - and the W came way back on the opening day.
