Louis van Gaal saw his side draw 0-0 on Friday night
Before mad Saturday we had tepid Friday night which saw Manchester United fail to do much at Cambridge as the Premier League big boys could only settle for a replay.
Cambridge United held Premier League giants Manchester United to a 0-0 draw in their FA Cup fourth round clash at the Abbey Stadium.
Richard Money's side, who are currently 12th in League Two, arguably enjoyed the better of the first half proceedings and should have taken a lead into the interval.
And while the Red Devils stepped up another gear after the break, they could not find a way past the battling U's who have earned a dream replay at Old Trafford which should also boost the club's coffers.
It was Cambridge who enjoyed the better of the opening exchanges but it was United who had the first serious attempt on target with Daley Blind getting in down the left but seeing his angled drive pushed behind by Chris Dunn at the front post.
Two minutes later the U's hit back and Ryan Donaldson picked out Liam Hughes who hit a volley wide of the United goal.
The Red Devils continued to be frustrated by their battling hosts and had to wait until the 22nd minute for their next effort when a Michael Nelson headed clearance fell to Adnan Januzaj on the edge of the box but his tame effort was easily held by Dunn.
Cambridge had the best chance of the first half just after the half-hour when Nelson got up to head a left-wing corner at goal which was blocked by his team-mate Josh Coulson who then somehow put a close-range header over the top when the ball bounced back up for him.
On 34 minutes Angel Di Maria fizzed in a low strike which spun out of Dunn's grasp but the U's goalkeeper managed to secure it at the second attempt.
United won a late free kick in the half in shooting distance just to the right of centre but Di Maria curled his effort over the wall and wide of the upright.
United almost fashioned an opening in the 47th minute but Januzaj's low strike from the left side of the area was straight at Dunn.
Cambridge continued to look comfortable until the 62nd minute when a Michael Carrick ball through the middle picked out the run of Radamel Falcao who got into the area but was impressively denied by Dunn who diverted his strike over the bar.
United had another great chance in the 71st minute when Di Maria lifted a lovely ball over the top for substitute Robin van Persie to run onto but he hooked his left-foot strike over the top from the left side of the box.
United started to slightly turn the screw with Nelson doing well to reach a Di Maria cross ahead of Van Persie to prevent the Dutchman putting United ahead on 79 minutes.
Two minutes later Januzaj whipped in a lovely ball in from the left which flashed across the face of goal with none of his team-mates gambling to get on the end of it.
Cambridge came forward with a rare second half attack on 84 minutes with a long ball down the middle being worked out wide to Donaldson whose ball into the area was headed behind by Phil Jones under pressure.
However it was left for Dunn to ensure a replay for Cambridge in stoppage time as he bravely pushed away Januzaj's cross ahead of Van Persie and then get down low to block a Di Maria's low follow-up strike from the edge of the area.
