There might not be too much celebrating for Celtic tonight
After a setback in England last night, Kevin Hatchard's looking for redemption north of the border...
Celtic v Motherwell

What's the world coming to when you can't rely on Aldershot and Kidderminster Harriers for entertainment? If it was a theatre show or a music gig, I'd be asking for my money back, but sadly betting doesn't work like that. The men from Aggborough won 1-0 to prolong Aldershot's misery, the winner was the only shot on target from either side in the whole match, and our Over 2.5 Goals bet was scuppered.
Onwards and upwards, hopefully. We're making a short journey north to Scotland, and if I can keep my grubby mitts out of the shortbread tin, we'll concentrate on tonight's Scottish Premiership clash between Celtic and Motherwell.
Celtic haven't had a smooth ride in Ronny Deila's first season at the helm (getting knocked out of the Champions League twice takes some doing), but a win tonight would send them top of the table. The Bhoys' form has been great over the past three months, although it's worth considering Deila's men have slipped up recently against Ross County (0-0 draw at home) and Dundee United (2-1 away defeat).
Motherwell have had a nightmarish few weeks, and their last two away games have resulted in a 5-0 spanking at Hamilton and a 4-1 reverse at Dundee. That said, I think the market has overreacted a bit, and Under 3.5 Goals looks tempting to me at 2.0421/20.
Although The Steelmen are having a dreadful season (they are 10th out of 12 teams), they've actually kept three clean sheets in their last 10 games, and in December they only lost 1-0 at home to Celtic. Indeed, when they last visited Celtic Park back in September, they emerged with a 1-1 draw.
In Motherwell's 21 league games this term, they have only conceded more than two goals on six occasions. Ian Baraclough's men have the worst attack in the division, so they are unlikely to contribute too much to the four goals needed to ruin our bet.
So can Celtic come up with the goals to defy us? The statistics suggest not. Just three of Celtic's 20 league games this term have featured four goals or more, and they have scored more than twice on just four occasions.
Now then, where's that shortbread?
