Betfair Live Video: Standard to shoot down Westerlo in the Little Tank

Camargo will head the attack for Standard...

Reuben Thomas previews top European football available to watch free on Betfair, this week he turns his attention to the big games in Lisbon and Antwerp...

Westerlo vs Standard
Sunday 17:00

Sunday afternoon and the action comes from Antwerp as the Belgian Jupiler League returns with Westerlo facing Standard Lierge.

After gaining promotion last season Westerlo had hoped for more success this season but they have found it tough going so far. As the second half of the season kicks off they lie perilously close to the drop zone in thirteenth position.

Unfortunately for their fans their home form has been particularly poor having won only three all season in 'the Little Tank' and having conceded nine in their last four home games.

So with no win in nine games before the winter break the decision was made to change managers and in came Harm Van Veldhoven. He has immediately got to work reshaping the team; strengthening the defence and bringing in both Nils Schouterden and Mbaye Diagne to help out in attack and hopefully ease the burden on nine goal star striker Frdric Gounongbe.

Visitors Standard have also struggled somewhat this season and are lying eleven points of the summit in sixth place. However after a winter training camp in Murcia they return to action full of anticipation and with the best away record in the league.

Standard will be expecting to bring in a striker before the end of the month but until then Igor de Camargo remains their main man with eight goals to his name and he will be backed up by Mujangi Bia and QPR target Paul-Jose M'Poku.

Back Standard to win @ 1.814/5
Back both teams to score @ 1.738/11

Sporting Lisbon vs Rio Ave
Sunday 20:15

Two teams on long unbeaten runs come face to face this Sunday evening as the 'Lions' take on the 'Big River'.

Sporting Lisbon eventually came out on top in a tight affair last weekend as they found a late late winner to break Braga in the Quarry. Then in midweek they overcame Boavista again by a single goal and this weekend they will take on Rio Ave at the Estdio Jos Alvalade.

Wednesday's cup result made it seven straight wins for Sporting and they are on a run of three games without conceding. Marco Silva's must try to keep hold of his coveted star such as Carvalho, Montero, Slimani and Carrillo this month and hope Nani continues to put in classy performances.

The one to watch on Sunday however could be the gifted young Scot Ryan Gauld who was man of the match in midweek and will likely get the nod again.

Rio Ave sit in sixth position and still have an outside chance of making the Europa League spots, they are a dogged hard working side but lack the flair to entertain and after sixteen games they have a goal difference of zero.

Zero crops up a lot for Rio Ave this season, despite being unbeaten in five matches in four of those the game ended 0-0! It's unsurprising they are the lowest scorers in the league with only Ahmed Hassan Koka as a reliable striker.

With just two wins away all season coach Pedro Martins will be hoping rather than expecting this Sunday but his team may be the fresher of the two having not been involved in the cup in midweek.

Recommended Bets:
Back Under 2.5 Goals @ 21/1
Back Sporting @ 1.434/9
