Cross-Sport Multiple: Back United to sink Saints

Louis van Gaal's United are starting to look the part

Andrew Hughes thinks Manchester United will get the better of Southampton on Sunday and help land a cross-sport multiple in the process

Bet 1: Back Manchester United to beat Southampton at 1.855/6

Ronald Koeman has been rightly praised for the way he has steered Southampton into the top four this season and their resilience in coming through a tough run of fixtures to put together a five game unbeaten run has been impressive.

But I expect that run to come to an end on Sunday. Manchester United are far from the finished article under Louis van Gaal but they are once again a formidable prospect at Old Trafford, and only Chelsea have a better home record this season.

United have only dropped five points at home all season, and are on a run of fifteen games that includes just one defeat. It is worth noting that Southampton are yet to beat a team currently in the top five and haven't won at Old Trafford since 1988. Back United to bag all three points.

Bet 2: Back Exeter to beat London Irish at 1.538/15

Exeter's impressive Aviva Premiership campaign has stalled in recent weeks, with defeats to Bath, Sale and Gloucester, but they can return to winning ways on Sunday at the expense of a struggling London Irish side.

The Exiles will be hoping to capitalise on Exeter's poor away form, which has seen them lose three of their last four on the road, but the Chiefs have an even poorer record at home, losing all but one of their games at the Madejski Stadium. Exeter have a solid recent history in this fixture, having beaten London Irish in every one of their last six meetings, and can bounce back with a win this weekend.

Bet 3: Back Green Bay to beat Dallas at 1.42/5

Something's got to give at Lambeau Field on Sunday as the team with the perfect home record take on the visitors from Dallas who have won all eight on the road, and I think it is Green Bay who will prevail.

The Cowboys' campaign has been built on turnovers and an effective rushing game, but they could struggle in both of those areas this weekend. The Packers gave up just thirteen turnovers in the regular season, the joint lowest in the NFL and at home, Packers quarter back Aaron Rodgers hasn't been intercepted in his last 477 passes.

The Packers have also improved their rush defence in the second half of the season and should be able to contain the visitors. Back the home side for the win.
