Transfer Talk: United in for ВЈ24 Saints man and a World Cup winner?

Thomas Muller would have to prepare for the tough EPL

Manchester United lead the way in today's edition of transfer talk as they are linked with improving their midfield and attacking options.

The Daily Express says Manchester United are considering making a 25m move for Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin.

The Frenchman has been excellent for the Saints over the last few years and was again impressive as they ended United's 11-game unbeaten run on Sunday with a 1-0 win at Old Trafford.

His performances haven't gone unnoticed, with both Tottenham and Arsenal linked with moves for him in recent seasons, although the Saints have so far resisted any pressure to sell.

United are now hoping an offer of 25m will be enough to finally force Southampton's hand this month, as Louis van Gaal looks to add some much needed steel to his midfield in a bid aid his side's hunt for a top-four finish.

Another man who could be on his way to Old Trafford is Bayern Munich's Thomas Muller after he reportedly told his agent to secure him a move away from Bavaria.

The World Cup winner was heavily linked with a switch to United last summer due to his relationship with Van Gaal, who gave him his debut in the Bayern first team, but played down the rumours.

However, he now seems to have had a change of heart and the Daily Star say the Premier League outfit are on red alert now he is keen to move.

The Times believe Arsenal are preparing an improved bid for Legia Warsaw's Krystian Bielik who is also interesting Hamburg.

Bielik is seen as one of Poland's most exciting talents and the Gunners have already had an offer refused, with Legia insisting they will not accept anything less than 2.5million.

The 17-year-old isn't the only man interesting boss Arsene Wenger with Swansea's Bafetimbi Gomis an option, according to the Daily Mail.

Gomis only moved to the Liberty Stadium last summer but Wenger believes the 29-year-old could be available this month, with Crystal Palace also interested.

Finally, West Ham starlet Ravel Morrison could be about to make a surprise move to Italian giants Lazio.

Despite his undoubted talent, Morrison has been plagued by off-field issues throughout his time at both Upton Park and with former club Manchester United and it appears Sam Allardyce has now run out of patience.

A clause in his contract means he is able to leave for free this month and The Mirror say Lazio are more than willing to take a chance on him.
