Yaya Toure is approaching his best form of the season so far
Opta's insights inspired three winning weekend scorer bets from four. Now it's over to Yaya Toure and co...
Man United v Stoke (Tuesday, 19:45)
Robin van Persie has fired once in all four of his Premier League games against Stoke for Man United
According to the pre-match gossip, van Persie was in danger of being benched prior to Man United's previous encounter with Hull. Instead, he got his first club goal in over a month and only his fourth of compatriot Louis van Gaal's reign. There is a great chance of him building on that against Stoke given that the former Arsenal forward has netted ten times in nine Premier League clashes with them.
Recommended Bet: Back van Persie to score @ 2.26/5
Swansea v QPR (Tuesday, 19:45)
Wilfried Bony has scored 18 Premier League goals in 2014, more than any other player
It has been a brilliant 2014 for Swansea's Ivorian sensation, but on current form, it may prove that his best is yet to come. Bony has notched six times in his past seven Premier League outings, with his latest lovely effort against Crystal Palace evidence that he is far more than just a powerful poacher. QPR have conceded three more goals on their travels than any other side in the division, averaging 2.5 spills per game.
Recommended Bet: Back Bony to score @ 2.47/5
West Brom v West Ham (Tuesday, 20:00)
Saido Berahino has scored in both Premier League matches against West Ham
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce, a boyhood Wolves fan, proclaimed that "if we keep a clean sheet, I believe we will win" but, as his team haven't shut out a team away since early October - leaking nine times across their most recent five road trips - it is a sizable "if". Opta note that, as well as relishing facing the Irons, Berahino favours playing at The Hawthorns, grabbing nine of his last ten West Brom goals there.
Recommended Bet: Back Berahino to score @ 2.829/5
Sunderland v Man City (Wednesday, 19:45)
Yaya Toure has scored in successive Premier League appearances for the first time since March
Toure has been forced to overcome so much adversity over the past few months: the pressure of following a 24-goal season, World Cup fatigue, a more critical press needled by May's birthday cake row and, most significantly, the loss of younger brother Ibrahim. Given the circumstances, the abuse he has suffered for a few subdued displays felt excessive, yet it has made his revival, complimented by a strike in his last Champions League match as well as past Swansea and Southampton, all the more enjoyable.
Recommended Bet: Back Toure to score @ 3.211/5
