Opta Stats: Liverpool to ask Arsenal to fight back again

Arsenal go 1-0 down far more often than is acceptable

The Opta trends hint at Liverpool scoring first, a Man City clean sheet, Newcastle spilling points and a red card at West Ham...

Man City v Crystal Palace (Saturday, 12:45, BT Sport 1)

Man City have conceded just 18 goals in 26 Premier League home games under Manuel Pellegrini

Even without Sergio Aguero, Man City refuse to stop winning, with their seven-match streak out of nowhere owing a lot to a defence who have kept three successive clean sheets and conceded just once in five encounters. While the champions have been tightening up, Crystal Palace have lost all attacking edge, firing three away blanks in five and only scoring once from open play in that period. The Eagles haven't notched once in five meetings with the Manchester clubs since promotion.

Recommended Bet: Back Man City to keep a clean sheet @ 1.9310/11

West Ham v Leicester (Saturday, 15:00)

There have been five red cards in the last eight league meetings between West Ham and Leicester

This pair of Post Horn Gallop enthusiasts - what's not to love - tend to irritate one another when they meet judging by the hefty red card count. Visiting teams finishing with ten men has become a recurring theme at the Boleyn Ground in 2014 too. Four of the last nine Premier League guests had one of their number dismissed, including both of the most recent two: Newcastle and Swansea.

Recommended Bet: Back there to be a sending off

Newcastle v Sunderland (Sunday, 13:30, Sky Sports 1)

Newcastle are winless in three games against Sunderland at St James' Park, losing the last two 3-0

Despite their dismal start, Newcastle have a seven-point lead over their north-east enemies heading into the first Tyne-Wear derby of the season, but recent results have proven league position to be an irrelevance when these clubs collide. Sunderland have won the latest three head-to-heads and are unbeaten in five, and they have actually lost just four of their 16 Premier League matches this term. Only the top three have incurred fewer defeats.

Recommended Bet: Lay Newcastle to win @ 2.1411/10

Liverpool v Arsenal (Sunday, 16:00, Sky Sports 1)

Arsenal have trailed in six of the last seven Premier League games against Liverpool at Anfield

As disappointing as Liverpool's Premier League campaign has been to date, they haven't conceded the opening goal in any of their past six outings, actually taking the lead in six of those. Though Arsenal are five points better off, they aren't quite so skilled at setting the tone, giving up the deadlock-breaking strike in seven of their 16 league fixtures and two of their three Champions League road trips.

Recommended Bet: Back Liverpool to score first @ 2.0621/20
