This is the final game before the German winter break
The Christmas week begins in Germany for Paul Robinson as he thinks that 1860 Munich can upset the odds and earn a positive result at RB Leipzig.
RB Leipzig v 1860 Munich
Monday December 22, 19:15 GMT
Following their promotion last year, RB Leipzig have made a decent start to life in Bundesliga 2. After 18 fixtures they sit in seventh place and if they win their game in hand this evening they'll move into sixth. Back to back promotions may be too much of an ask, but The Bulls are at least keeping themselves in contention.
Despite their success, Alexander Zorniger's have only won seven of their matches this term as their strength has been avoiding defeat as opposed to winning. It's now just two wins in seven for them and even at home, it's two victories in five - their last outing being a 1-0 defeat to leaders, Ingolstadt.
1860 Munich ended a run of three straight defeats last time out by holding Kaiserslautern to a 1-1 draw. That result will give them a boost and they will be hopeful of signing off for the winter break by avoiding a loss.
Last year's seventh place finishers are down in 16th this time around but they are only a couple of ins from mid-table and they do have a game in hand.
It is also worth noting that 10 of their 16 points have been taken away from their home of the Allianz Arena as on the road it's been three wins, one draw and five defeats for Markus von Ahlen's men.
The game should be a lot closer than the odds suggest, so with RB Leipzig trading at around the 1.684/6 mark, I have to make them my lay of the day.
