NBA Head trader has his say on the Eastern Conference

With the NBA regular season just past the ¼ pole stage our lead NBA trader gives his thoughts on the Eastern Conference teams so far. Do you share the same views?

Eastern Conference: Atlantic

Boston Celtics: The Celtics are trying to up their game, but with no interior defence in addition to the fact they rarely play well in second halves, they appear short.

Brooklyn Nets: Between players in and out of the lineup, and rumours of their top three players available for deals, the Nets are in a mess.

New York Knicks: The Knicks have struggled this season and it can’t all be blamed on the adjustment to the PJax triangle offensive.

Philadelphia 76ers: They got off the season schneid last week, and then quickly picked up a second win. With a real scorer in Robert Covington to join MC Williams and Tony Wroten, the 76ers might actually get to ten wins.

Toronto Raptors: on top of the Eastern Conference so far, and appear to have a great chemistry within a talented roster. Can they make the finals? Well,

they have a shot if they remain healthy.

Eastern Conference: Central

Chicago Bulls: The Bulls are a conference force when they are fully healthy. However, injuries in key areas could prove problematic.

Cleveland Cavaliers: They have started to look much better recently, but far from great, and it appears it will take time for the team to showcase the form that was expected preseason.

Detroit Pistons: After being depressingly wretched even with sharp coach Stan Van Gundy, the Pistons have gathered themselves for the moment and could make a run at the final seed given the weakness of their conference.

Indiana Pacers: Coach Vogel had his troops scrambling well while managing a few key injuries.  The team is pretty healthy now, but finding the going rough, all the same.

Milwaukee Bucks: Coach Kidd and his kids are a nice story. He is coaching the youths well and they appear to have good chemistry.

Eastern Conference: South East

Atlanta Hawks: The Hawks are looking fine so far, with strong, balanced offense and an improving defence.

Charlotte Hornets: The Hornets are clearly missing McRoberts, while Stephenson is taking time to settle. Last year looks like a mirage at the moment.

Miami Heat: Bosh is playing fine, while Wade is decent when he is fit. However, the loss of Lebron is evident.

Orlando Magic: The Magic have developed a bit of grit to go with their young talent, and are a spread-beating machine so far despite the shortcomings of Coach Vaughn.

Washington Wizards: Paul Pierce has brought his winning potion to the team. The Wizards are playing well and could be a good shout later on in the tournament if their good health remains.
