Opta Stats: Southampton to get the Aguero treatment

Sergio Aguero is enjoying an exceptional campaign already

The Opta trends point to weekend goals for Danny Ings, Charlie Austin, Wilfried Bony and Sergio Aguero...

Burnley v Aston Villa (Saturday, 15:00)

Danny Ings has scored three goals in his last four Premier League appearances

Burnley went from scoring one goal in their initial six Premier League games to seven in the most recent six and from collecting four points in their opening ten to six in the latest two, and a major reason for the turnaround is Ings' return to fitness and reprisal of his Championship prolificacy. The scorer of 26 goals last term notched twice in the first 13 minutes at Stoke last week to lift Burnley off the bottom.

Recommended Bet: Back Ings to score @ 2.829/5

QPR v Leicester (Saturday, 15:00)

Charlie Austin has scored four goals in QPR's five Premier League games at Loftus Road this season

QPR compulsion to blend respectable home form (one loss in their last five) with wretched travelling ricks (six defeats in six) continued last weekend as they followed a 2-2 draw against Man City with a 0-1 reverse at Newcastle. Austin seems to reflect his team's habits, with 67% of his strikes coming at Loftus Road and the two exceptions also arriving "down south". Leicester have conceded twice in four of their six road trips.

Recommended Bet: Back Austin to score @ 2.89/5

Swansea v Crystal Palace (Saturday, 15:00)

Wilfried Bony is the top-scoring Premier League player in 2014 with 17 goals

Let that sink in for a second. Swansea, who weren't even that good in the first half of 2014, have a player who has netted more often than the likes of Sergio Aguero, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie. The Ivorian, who signed a contract extension earlier this week, is refusing to relinquish his position as 2014's leading marksman, firing five times in his last six Premier League outings.

Recommended Bet: Back Bony to score @ 2.47/5

Southampton v Man City (Sunday, 13:30, Sky Sports 1)

Sergio Aguero has scored 14 goals in his last 12 appearances for Man City

Aguero already has 17 goals in all competitions, with the latest three arriving against five-time European champions Bayern Munich in midweek. The Argentine has also struck six times in Man City's six Premier League encounters to date too. Opta note that this will be his 100th match in the English top-flight, and only Alan Shearer (79) and Ruud van Nistelrooy (68) bagged more than his 64 in that number of fixtures.

Recommended Bet: Back Aguero to score @ 2.6213/8
