There should be plenty of goals in Serie B tonight

After seeing his stake returned yesterday, Kevin Hatchard has decided to reinvest it in an Italian side that make a mockery of the country's proud defensive traditions.

A push for us last night, as Inter drew 0-0 in Azerbaijan against Qarabag in the Europa League. The insurance policy that is Draw No Bet kicked in, and our stake was returned. We had a touch of fortune, as the hosts had what appeared to be a perfectly good goal ruled out with virtually the last kick, but we were probably due a break like that.

We've spent this week breaking new ground with trips to Lincoln, Amsterdam and Azerbaijan (you lucky, lucky people), but we're returning to an old haunt today. I know we've already dropped in on Serie B this week, but I simply can't resist today. The goal machines of Trapani are playing, and when they're in action, we have to take notice.

The reason we have to take notice is that Trapani are an overs backer's dream. They have played 18 games in all competitions this season, and 16 of them have featured at least three goals. Indeed, if you look across their whole season, their games feature an average of 3.72 goals. 

It's almost as if Trapani play a different sport to the rest of the division. They have the worst defence in the league (35 goals conceded), and yet they are sixth in the standings, largely thanks to the second-best attack in Serie B (29 goals scored).

This evening Trapani play Perugia, and although the visitors aren't anywhere near as freewheeling as their opponents, it's worth considering that three of their last six league matches have featured at least three goals.

I cannot fathom why Over 2.5 Goals is trading at above evens, given Trapani's extraordinary approach to games. Much like Cagliari in Serie A, it's always worth a dart at overs, regardless of the opponents.
