Borussia Dortmund v Anderlecht
Match Odds: Borussia Dortmund 1.341/3, Anderlecht 10.09/1, The Draw 6.25/1
It was a brilliant weekend for angry Arsenal fans insistent that they need Jurgen Klopp and they need him right now. While Arsene Wenger kept the Gunners slumped in sixth in the Premier League by losing at Stoke, Klopp's Borussia Dortmund soared to 14th in the Bundesliga with a fourth (FOURTH) win of the campaign.
There is little consistency about the 2012/13 Champions League finalists at present. Whereas initially they were losing domestically and winning in Europe, they are gradually improving in the league and were beaten by Arsenal and their supposedly past-expiry-date coach last time out on the continent.
One trend that has emerged though is that regardless of whether they are winning or losing at Signal Iduna Park, it is rare that both they and their opponents score. There has been at least one clean sheet obtained in seven of the ten games at the venue this term, including four of the latest five.
Recommended Bet: Back both teams to score? No @ 2.265/4
Juventus v Atletico Madrid (Sky Sports 1)
Match Odds: Juventus 2.226/5, Atletico Madrid 4.216/5, The Draw 3.211/5
Because Juventus' need is greater in this Group A finale, Atletico Madrid are a surprisingly hefty price to triumph. However, two factors indicate that they shouldn't be underestimated: they need at least a point to secure top spot, and have won ten of their previous 11 fixtures, eight of those to nil.
The most tempting way to capitalise on the plumper Atletico odds is to back Juventus to fail in their attempts to shut them out. The Spanish champions have fired one blank all season, and that was back in August. Since then, they have netted in 19 successive encounters. Malmo (twice) are the sole side that Juventus have kept quiet in their past 13 Champions League ties.
Recommended Bet: Back Juventus not to keep a clean sheet @ 1.664/6
Real Madrid v Ludogorets
Match Odds: Real Madrid 1.132/15, Ludogorets 24.023/1, The Draw 12.011/1
Real Madrid's progress through Group B could scarcely have been more serene: they haven't dropped a single point and, as a result, have more than their three adversaries combined. It isn't just the Champions League that they have been making look easy though, as 18 wins in a row prove.
As winning alone is no longer enough of a challenge, they have taken an unusually keen interest in keeping clean sheets, achieving nine in 13 games and four in the most recent five.
They have managed three in a row in the Champions League, resulting in three consecutive under-3.5-goal clashes. With Ludogorets leaking only twice in the reverse fixture and both collisions with Liverpool, that appears a sound approach again.
Recommended Bet: Back under 3.5 goals @ 2.226/5
