Diego Milito has inspired Racing Club this season
The Argentinian title is in the hands of Racing Club but Paul Robinson thinks that the pressure will be too much and that they will blow it at home to Godoy Cruz.
Racing Club v Godoy Cruz
Sunday December 14 23:30 GMT
With just one game to go, Racing Club have a two point advantage over River Plate at the top of the league so all they need to do tonight is win to secure their first championship since 2001. 'La Academia' aren't a club to trust though as their history is littered with wasted opportunities and while they come into this game on the back of five straight wins to nil, the pressure is really on this evening.
There are no real stats to point at to suggest that Diego Cocca's side won't get the job done but football can be a funny game and there has to be value in opposing them. The one thing in our favour is that Godoy Cruz know where the goal is, as with 31 scored this season, they actually have more in the 'For' column than Racing Club.
Obviously their defensive record is pretty atrocious - in fact, it's the worst in the league - but if Diego Milito and co. freeze at the crucial moment, it is highly likely that Carlos Mayor's men will take advantage at the other end.
It is also worth noting that 'Tomba' are unbeaten in four on the road having drawn at Lanus and Newell's Old Boys and then winning at both Atletico Rafaela and Velez Sarsfield.
Let's not confuse ourselves, it is highly likely that this will be a relatively straightforward home victory, but the odds are certainly in our favour, so with Racing Club trading at around the 1.434/9 mark, I have to make them my lay of the day.
