Match Odds: Real Madrid 1.121/8, San Lorenzo 32.031/1, The Draw 11.5n/a

After cantering to victory in the Club World Cup semi-final against CONCACAF kingpins Cruz Azul last time out, Real Madrid are a win over Argentina's San Lorenzo away from conquering the globe.

Carlo Ancelotti's Los Blancos juggernaut have overcome each of their previous 21 adversaries and are just four shy of setting a new world record for football's longest winning streak.

As the odds indicate, only something a shade shy of divine intervention will prevent the Spanish capital club prevailing in Marrakech, in what would be a seventh UEFA triumph in eight editions.

The fact that their Argentine opponents required extra-time to see off New Zealand's Auckland City in the semi-final tells all regarding their inferiority.

Edgardo Bauza's Copa Libertadores winners can hardly be considered a force in their homeland at present, losing more league matches than they won in the recently-concluded campaign (nine losses to eight victories) and failed to prevail in six of their last ten domestic outings.

Real, in stark contrast, have put four points worth of breathing space between themselves and Barcelona at La Liga's summit and are seven clear of champions Atletico Madrid in third.

As part of their 21-match waste-laying spree, Los Merengues have failed to score multiple goals just twice.

Since bagging just one against FC Basel in their penultimate Champions League group game, the minnow-munchers have fired 22 in six, shipping just two in return, which doesn't bode well at all for San Lorenzo.

Over 3.5 goals

With San Lorenzo seemingly standing as much chance of slaying the current superpower in European football as your Sunday League team, there are a limited number of ways to make a hefty sum while betting on the favourites.

One sure-fire way to cop a profit though is to get on over 3.5 goals, which is available at a very generous 1.9520/21.

It is far easier to envisage Real scoring four or more than none and the total goals count has crossed the mark in question in 11 of their last 16 outings. The same can be said of three of San Lorenzo's last six, so it looks a fairly safe punt at just shy of the evens mark.

Best Bet: Back over 3.5 goals @ 1.9520/21
