Opta Stats: Third place beckons for in-form Man United

Louis van Gaal's impact is starting to be felt at Man United

The latest batch of Opta insights hint at clean sheets for Tottenham and West Ham, spilled points by Arsenal and a Man United triumph...

Stoke v Arsenal (Saturday, 15:00)

Stoke have only lost one of their last eight home games against Arsenal (W4 D3 L1)

The formbook favours Arsenal on their latest trip to the Potteries. They have won three in a row in all competitions without conceding, whereas Stoke have lost three in succession and five in seven. However, the Britannia Stadium truly is a bogey ground for the Gunners, somewhere that they haven't prevailed in four visits or even scored a goal on the most recent two.

Recommended Bet: Lay Arsenal to win @ 2.0621/20

Tottenham v Crystal Palace (Saturday, 15:00)

Tottenham have won their last two league clashes against Crystal Palace without reply

Spurs are becoming unfamiliar with the act of shutting out opponents after seven Premier League encounters without a clean sheet, but they kept three in seven prior to that - two of them at White Hart Lane - and have also kept AEL Limassol, Brighton and Partizan Belgrade quiet in home cup ties. Crystal Palace meanwhile haven't earned a point in their three London derbies this season, and didn't net past Aston Villa (one clean sheet in nine) in midweek.

Recommended Bet: Back Tottenham to keep a clean sheet @ 2.427/5

West Ham v Swansea (Sunday, 13:30, Sky Sports 1)

Swansea have failed to score in their last three Premier League games against the Hammers

There is a huge prize available to West Ham if they achieve a third straight victory: temporary hold of third place prior to Southampton and Man United's third-versus-fourth collision on Monday. Though the Irons leak regularly on their travels, they have been breached only once in their past four home matches, and that was a David Silva wonder goal. Swansea fired blanks on two of their last four away days.

Recommended Bet: Back West Ham to keep a clean sheet @ 3.211/5

Southampton v Man United (Monday, 20:00, Sky Sports 1)

Man United have won nine and lost just one of the last 12 Premier League games against Saints

The Red Devils' best run under Louis van Gaal (four wins on the spin) has helpfully coincided with Southampton's weakest sequence under his old rival Ronald Koeman (one point from three fixtures). Add in that the Saints have struggled against the Premier League's elite this term - their four defeats arriving against Liverpool, Tottenham, Man City and Arsenal - and you have a compelling case for an away win.

Recommended Bet: Back Man United to win @ 2.727/4
