FA Cup on Betfair: Chelsea and Man City 5/1 to lift trophy after favourable third round draws

Who will get their hands on this famous old trophy?

Following the conclusion of tonight's FA Cup third round draw, Mike Norman brings us the latest odds as the big guns were kept apart and only three all-Premier League ties emerged...

Chelsea and Manchester City have shortened to 6.05/1 joint favourites to win this season's FA Cup after both received home ties to lower league opposition in the third round.

Premier League leaders Chelsea will host Championship outfit Watford at Stamford Bridge in a game that will see the London rivals face each other in the FA Cup for the fifth time in the last 11 years. The most recent of those ties was in the third round in 2010 when a brace from Daniel Sturridge helped the Blues secure a 5-0 victory.

Man City - who on Saturday cut Chelsea's lead at the top of the Premier League table to just three points - will also host a Championship outfit in the form of three-time FA Cup winners Sheffield Wednesday.

That game could perhaps take on extra significance as earlier today City's third round tie was the date pencilled in for Sergio Aguero's possible return from his latest injury setback.

Manchester United are third favourites on the Exchange at 7.413/2 after being handed an away tie to either Accrington Stanley of Leaague Two, or League One outfit Yeovil Town.

Current FA Cup holders Arsenal (10.09/1) will host Hull City (70.069/1) in a repeat of last year's final, a game that saw Arsene Wenger's men come from 2-0 down to win 3-2 and give them their first major trophy for nine seasons.

Just two other all-Premier League ties emerged from the draw; Burnley (120.0119/1) will host Tottenham (20.019/1), and struggling Leicester (95.094/1) were drawn at home to in-form Newcastle (38.037/1).

It was a decent draw for three of the eight non-league teams still left in the competition as Wrexham, Gateshead, and Dover were drawn against Premier League clubs Stoke, West Brom, and Crystal Palace respectively, while the lowest-ranked team remaining - Blyth Spartans - will host Championship strugglers Birmingham City.
