Cross-Sport Multiple: Back Villa to bag a priceless home win

Paul Lambert's side can pick up another win on Sunday

Andrew Hughes thinks Aston Villa can edge out Leicester at Villa Park and help to land another Sunday cross sport multiple.

Bet 1: Back Aston Villa to beat Leicester at 2.3811/8

Eight goals in fourteen Premier League games and 61 points from their last 61 home games is an appalling return and helps to explain why Villa fans are so disillusioned by the regime of Randy Lerner and Paul Lambert.

But they did manage to scrape a win at Crystal Palace last time and the visit of the league's bottom side gives them a great chance of a second consecutive win.

Leicester are running out of time to prove they belong in the Premier League and they arrive at Villa Park low on confidence and with their top scorer Leonardo Ulloa having failed to find the net in nine. By contrast, Villa's key striker Christian Benteke has finally broken his goal-drought and he could be the difference on Sunday. Back Villa to earn a rare home win.

Bet 2: Back Sri Lanka to beat England at 1.618/13

England defied their critics to secure a surprise victory in the third one day international but normal service should be resumed on Sunday.

Alastair Cook's absence from the top of the order due might not be a huge blow, but captaincy replacement Eoin Morgan still has something to prove as a potential skipper and also with the bat, having not scored a half century in this format since January.

The indications are that the pitch in Colombo will be similar to the track on which the opening game was played, where Sri Lanka looked comfortable in racking up a total of over 300 and with Mahela Jayawardene back in the side, they should be too strong for the tourists once again. Back Sri Lanka to make it 3-1.

Bet 3: Back Leinster to beat Harlequins at 1.768/11

Sunday's clash at Twickenham Stoop could be the defining game of Pool Two in the European Champions Cup as the section's two undefeated sides go head to head.

Neither side is doing as well as they'd like domestically, but Leinster are not too far off the pace, having had a good win over Ospreys in their last Pro12 game. That is better form than Harlequins have shown of late and the home side are languishing in ninth place in the Aviva Premiership. They will be able to call on their England stars for this game, but Leinster will also be boosted by the return of a number of internationals and have the stronger squad. Back the visitors for the win.
