Suarez out but Sanchez & Balotelli in for Liverpool? - Weds 2 July Transfer Talk

Super Mario is being heavily linked with both Liverpool and Arsenal

Waking up this Wednesday morning, Alex Johnson has found a whole lot of transfer rumours to get her teeth into, starting with Luis Suarez...

Despite his four-month ban for biting Italy's Georgio Chiellini, Luis Suarez still seems set to join Barcelona from Liverpool.

The Daily Express claim the two clubs have already entered into initial negotiations over a deal but they remain some way apart in terms of the fee. Liverpool are believed to want in the region of 80m, but Barca are hoping to land the striker for around 60m.

The Reds hope they can persuade Alexis Sanchez to make the move in the opposite direction, but boss Brendan Rodgers is pondering tabling a 25m offer for AC Milan's controversial forward Mario Balotelli, also a target for Arsenal, as a possible replacement for Suarez.

The Gunners are also being linked with Colombia's Jackson Martinez with boss Arsene Wenger, according to The Guardian, apparently viewing the Porto striker's 35m buy-out clause as good value, but they face stiff competition from European champions Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star says Wenger remains confident he will land Newcastle's France international Mathieu Debuchy after the World Cup for around 11m - who will be used a direct replacement for Bacary Sagna following his move earlier this summer to Man City.

Incoming Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will tie up a whole host of deals after the World Cup and the Guardian claims he wants his Dutch stars Arjen Robben and Stefan de Vrij, amongst others, to join him at Old Trafford from Bayern Munich and Feyenoord respectively.

Reports in the Netherlands say Serbia star Dusan Tadic will become new Southampton manager Ronald Koeman's first signing after the Saints agreed a 9m deal with FC Twente.

The Daily Mail says Atletico Madrid are hoping to persuade Manchester City to sell Alvaro Negredo but the Premier League champions have insisted the forward is not for sale, while Tottenham have told Napoli they will have to fork out at least 20m if they want midfielder Sandro.

Spanish star Michu is ready to tell Swansea City he wants to return home this summer and join Atletico, according to the Daily Mirror, while Marvin Emnes is set to complete his permanent move to the club from Middlesbrough after impressing on loan last term.

Several other players are being linked with the exit door at the Liberty Stadium, but the Welsh club say they want 45m for Wilfried Bony, Michel Vorm and Ben Davies, who have attracted interest from Tottenham and Liverpool, say the Daily Mail.

Finally, The Guardian suggests Fulham are ready to offload 12m striker flop Kostas Mitroglou on loan to Turkish side Besiktas, while Tom Ince is still weighing up several offers after holding talks with Hull City on Tuesday.
