Three goals will put the smile back on this fan's face

Paul Robinson heads to South America today as he is predicting a minimum of three goals in the Brazilian Serie B clash between Atletico GO and Oeste.

Atletico GO avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth last season as they finished just one place outside of the relegation zone. They are down towards that end of the table this time around but they at least have a game in hand over most of their rivals, and the club from the state of Goias have won two of their last four.

As far as the goals go, Hlio dos Anjos' side have scored 14 and conceded 14 which means they're matches this year are averaging 2.55 goals each time. While only five of their 11 have gone over 2.5, two of their last four in front of their own fans have had three or more - including a 2-2 draw with Ponte Preta.

Oeste had a very similar campaign to their opponents last time as they finished one place and two points above them. 'Rubro' find themselves in the relegation zone right now though and they were beaten 3-0 by America Mineiro on their last outing.

Jos Macena's men have had five of their 11 go over 2.5 goals, but if we concentrate solely on their scorelines away from home we can see that three of their previous five have had three goals or more. It's also worth considering that when this pair met last season, the results were 4-0 and 4-2 to Atletico GO.

This should be a relatively high-scoring affair so with under 2.5 goals trading at around the 1.8810/11 mark, I have to make it my lay of the day.
