Get your Saturday football fix in the Irish Premier Division
Andrew Hughes thinks Athlone Town can earn a point against St Patrick's and help land a Saturday cross-sport multiple
Bet 1: Back Athlone Town to draw with St Patrick's Athletic at 4.03/1
Athlone Town are currently rock bottom of the Airtricity Premier Division but that position doesn't reflect their current form. They lost their first ten as they struggled to adjust to life in the top flight, but after a change of manager have lost three out of seven, and two weeks ago thrashed Limerick 3-0.
They are up against the defending champions on Saturday, but this could be a good time to play them. St Patrick's have only won one of their last six matches in all competitions and on Wednesday were crushed 5-0 in front of their home fans by Legia Warsaw in a Champions League qualifier.
They may not have fully got that result out of their systems by the weekend and it is also worth noting that they have drawn their last four away games. Back Athlone to continue their fight for survival with a hard-won point.
Bet 2: Back Jamaica to beat Trinidad and Tobago at 1.910/11
Jamaica and Trinidad are two of the strongest sides in the Caribbean Premier League and they are leading the way again, ahead of their first meeting this year on Saturday.
Trinidad go into this game with the momentum, having chased down a stiff target against Guyana on Thursday, thanks to a 131 run partnership between captain Dwayne Bravo and his brother Darren.
But Trinidad have their work cut to overcome a tough Jamaican side who can match their opponents in all departments and who have, in Chris Gayle, the best Twenty20 opening batsman in the world. Back Jamaica to make it four wins from four.
Bet 3: Back Kyle Edmund to beat Richard Berankis at 2.15n/a
Britain's Kyle Edmund takes on Richard Berankis in Saturday's Astana Challenger semi-final and though the Lithuanian is ranked 126 places higher than Edmund and is five years older, the value could lie with the youngster.
Berankis hasn't dropped a set in reaching the last four, and defeated number eight seed Adrian Menendez-Maceiras in the quarter-final, but Edmund's progress has been even more impressive. He is also yet to lose a set and has beaten the number seven seed Thomas Fabbiano and the in-form number two seed Blaz Kavcic along the way. Back Edmund to cause a surprise in Kazakhstan.
