FIFA Interactive World Cup: Tournament Format

After six online qualification seasons, the final 20 players will compete for the right to be crowned the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2014 champion at the Grand Final in Rio de Janeiro.

All games have been played on the PlayStation network. The Grand Final consists of the defending champion, the host nation champion, the 12 players that finished in the top two places for the six online seasons, and the six winners of the community qualifiers.

FIFA Interactive World Cup: Player Seeding & Odds

The 20 Grand Finalists have been seeded in accordance with the FIWC World Rankings – which takes into consideration performances in the past four versions of the FIFA Interactive World Cup, but recent performances accrue stronger points than older editions. Note players who had the same world ranking were seeded in order of qualification.

Three-time world champion Bruce Grannec is the clear 2014 FIFA Interactive World Cup favourite with Pinnacle Sports. The Frenchman is offered at 3.62, which gives him – according to the odds – 27.62% chance of winning.

Interestingly his compatriot Julien Dassonville is seeded 19th but offered as the third favourite with odds of 8.16, while Rafael Fortes is a 21.76 outsider having qualified as the host country winner.
