RSC Anderlecht vs Mouscron-Peruwelz
Sunday 17:00
Last year's Jupiler League Playoff Champions Anderlecht host newly promoted Mouscron on Sunday afternoon.
Besnik Hasi's side finished off the pace in the league last year but managed to make up the points in the crucial Playoff matches and were once again crowned champions giving them a hatrick of titles, can they be stopped this year?
With such a strong squad put together over the course of the last few seasons sooner or later their top players were going to be snatched. This summer saw the exit of midfield linchpin Lucas Biglia, towering centre back Cheikhou Kouyate and flying winger Massimo Bruno. Their losses will be felt hard.
Hasi will likely be in the market for replacements especially as he starts the season with both Martin Suarez and Anthony Van Den Borre on the treatment table. But even if Anderlecht do no more recruiting there team will be challenging for the title again.
With the likes of Dennis Praet pulling the strings in midfield and the exciting Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic up front they will pose a threat to any team in the league.
Mouscron finished fourth in the second division last season and then triumphed in the playoffs to gain promotion. Survival will be the aim but with a limited budget and relatively small squad they are in for a challenging season.
Expect the visitors to try and keep the game tight at Astrid Park to start with and frustrate their imposing hosts. The champions may have to wait but expect them to grab an opening day win and launch another title chasing campaign. The Belgian giants will be licking their lips in anticipation of their opener.

Corinthians vs Palmeiras
Sunday 20:00
Sunday night and Betfair Live Video brings you a real treat as the cameras are headed for Sao Paulo to witness the hotly contested Derby Paulista.
Since 1914 these two teams have been sworn enemies and every time they face off the great city of Sao Paulo is engulfed by a hostile and fierce atmosphere. Palmeiras just edge the overall head to head standings claiming 121 wins to Corinthians 118 with the last meeting between the two back in February ending in a draw.
Corinthians have started their campaign in strong fashion, they are second in the league and at the newly revamped Arena Corinthians they have only suffered one defeat.
Over the last few seasons they have become a team that focuses on a tight defence before developing their attack and they have looked solid again this year only conceding six goals all season so far.
In midweek they claimed a 3-0 win over Bahia in the cup and that will have served as a good warm up, they will be confident that they can claim the derby win. Jadson has looked dangerous as has striker Paolo Guerrero, expect the 'Timao' to be in the ascendency.
Palmeiras have had a slightly less impressive start to their season, they are down in twelfth and are struggling to find enough goals in their team.
Their manager Ricardo Gareca or 'El Tigre' knows he needs to get more out of his strikers, the likes of Henrique and new signing Pablo Mouche need to start delivering.
However despite Corinthians strong home record and sturdy defence this is a derby and Gareca has promised his team will be the 'protagonists' from the outset. Whether his team can fulfill his promise waits to be seen.
This may not be easy on the eye and expect a physical encounter with Corinthians nicking it and without conceding.
Recommended Bets:
Back Corinthians to win 1-0 @ 5.95/1
Back Corinthians to keep a clean sheet @ 2.68/5
