Sao Paulo vs Chapecoense
Saturday 22:30

After the 2014 World Cup dream quickly turned into a humiliating nightmare in Belo Horizonte, the top domestic league has returned just in time in an to mask the problems facing the national side. With Sao Paulo getting back to winning ways after a six-week World Cup break, Muricy Ramalho will look for his side to kick on in pursuit of the Serie A lead, currently held by an impressive Cruzeiro outfit.

After 46 days away from the bread and butter of the Brazilian Campeonato, the 'Tricolor' returned on Wednesday in impressive fashion against a Bahia side void of any confidence, let alone form.

With first half goals from Rogerio Ceni and Alan Kardec, the visitors found themselves in cruise control for the majority of the fixture, with Bahia offering little going forward. However, with Maicon limping off late with muscle tightness, coupled with Kardec's late replacement due to a similar problem, Muricy may have a few selection problems ahead of Saturday's game at the Morumbi.

With Kardec, Osvaldo and Ademilson leading the line on Wednesday, Muricy may revert to the tried and tested method of Osvaldo and Pato getting starts, with the boss not underestimating the threat the visitors will bring.

With just two league wins to their name sitting in the league's fifteenth spot, Chapecoense have made a steady yet underwhelming start to life in the top division. After finishing second in last years Serie B, gaining promotion for the first time since 1979, Celso Rodrigues' side have struggled noticeably on their travels, picking up just the one point.

With more than ten strikers on their books, 'Verdao' have more than an option or two to lead the line this season. However, with Tiago Luis already improving on his goal tally for the whole of last season, the Ribeirao Preto born striker looks to have his place secured with Alemao as a possible partner.

If Chapecoense are to stay alive in this division they will have to rely on their home form scraping them enough points, trips to the title contenders shouldn't be treated as dead rubbers, but the Verdao faithful will travel to the Morumbi in more hope than expectation.

Sporting Kansas vs LA Galaxy
Saturday 23:00

It's East vs West in MLS, as Kansas and the Galaxy lock horns after both going five straight without a loss. With a healthy attendance expected at the Sporting Park, both sides have a chance of consolidating their places in their Conference's playoffs with a win on Saturday.

Kansas needed to wait until the third minute of injury time to seal an impressive three points at the home of Columbus Crew on Wednesday night. In a game that saw a sending off for both sides, a Benny Feilhaber strike proved the difference late on when it looked like a point was destined for both sides. With that win, Kansas hold on to top spot in the Eastern Conference, albeit by a single point from the pressing DC United.

Outscoring the majority of the league as well as having the tightest defence, Peter Vermes has managed to continue the form that saw them lift last years MLS Cup after a dramatic win over Real Salt Lake.

With fourteen goals in nineteen appearances, seemingly unheard of English talent Dominic Dwyer has set MLS alight this season. The 23-year-old from Cuckfield has become an undroppable presence in the Kansas starting eleven, outscoring the rest of the squad combined.

However, albeit sitting in second spot in the goal scoring charts, Dwyer will be best known this season for being booked after talking a 'selfie' with a fans phone after scoring against Chicago a fortnight ago. Despite being hailed and criticized in equal measure, the young Englishman is definitely one to look out for in the not too distant future... providing he continues to develop at a similar rate.

Unbeaten in eight and off the back of a 5-1 victory over New England, the Galaxy are looking like the team to beat in MLS. After a shaky start to the campaign, Bruce Arenas 'los Galaticos' have turned things around, with the form of Robbie Keane playing a major role in this transformation.

With the Irishman's wonder-goal going viral this week, MLS faithful will be aware of the threat that the 34-year-old still possesses, and with Donovan and the impressive Zardes partnering him up-top, there is plenty reason to be expectant ahead of the remainder of the campaign.

There is no denying Kansas' impressive campaign so far, but with Galaxy hitting form at the perfect time for this clash expect a tight game with neither side doing enough to take all three points.

Back 2-2 @ 15.5n/a
