Against All Odds: FC Jazz to light up the scoreboard in Finland

It's the white and blue of Finland today

Paul Robinson kicks off the week in Finland as he feels that there will be goals in the Ykkonen clash between PK-35 Vantaa and FC Jazz...

PK-35 Vantaa are having a good campaign to date as last year's sixth placed finishers are up in second after 15 matches. Only one team gets promoted though and while they do have a game in hand over leaders, KTP, the current gap between the pair is a pretty hefty nine points.

The secret to their success has been at the back as Jari Europaeus' side have the best defensive record in the entire division. They have only kept three clean sheets out of six at home though - none in their last two - and three of the six went over 2.5 goals.

FC Jazz were promoted as champions of the Finnish third tier but they've got a fight on their hands to stay there. The Pori based club are currently second from bottom - two go down - but while they trail nearest rivals, JIPPO, by four points, they at least have three games in hand.

In order to survive, Jouni Joensuu's men will have to avoid the kind of implosion that happened in their last away match as they blew a three goal lead in the final 15 minutes. They had another 3-3 draw on their next outing and that means that four of their last five have now gone over 2.5 goals - their four most recent away fixtures following suit.

The liquidity in the market isn't fantastic at the time of writing but as the day wears on, the price of under 2.5 goals should be trading at a shade of odds-on. That's why, at somewhere around the 1.9420/21 mark, I have to make it my lay of the day.
