Big Saturday Multiple: Broken Brazil value to pick up pieces

Brazil have hit rock bottom after the Germany loss

Jonno Turner casts his eye over the day's action, and plucks out a three team multiple worth 7.06...

We're off to Brasilia for our first selection of the day, and it's the Battle for Pride - the third place play-off of the World Cup - where a wounded Brazil line up to face the Netherlands.

The hosts will head into this clash still reeling from their 7-1 destruction by a rampant Germany side, and that is a result which has had a seismic effect across the whole country.

There is a real sense that the current crop of Seleao jugadors have let the nation down in a big way, and they will be desperate to claw back some trust, honour and dignity in this encounter.

Indeed, Luis Felipe Scolari will be eyeing a win in this clash as a small consolation for the South American country which has given so much to put on this tournament, and is expected to bring captain Thiago Silva back into the fold to freshen things up at the back.

The Dutch, meanwhile, were dumped out of the competition following a narrow encounter with Argentina - and their loss on penalties has left them with a bitter taste in their mouths.

Manager Louis Van Gaal has been quite blunt in the press this week, referring to this as a 'meaningless fixture' and bemoaning the fact that his side even has to play it.

As a result the new Manchester United manager, who is taking charge of his last Netherlands game is expected to make several key changes - especially considering that his players have had a day less to prepare for this clash than their hosts.

The truth is that of course this game will pale into insignificance at the side of tomorrow's spectacle - but I reckon there's value in it, and Brazil, who have much to play for, at just over evens looks tasty to me.

Bet 1: Brazil (HOME) @ 2.111/10

To slightly cooler climes now, as we turn our attentions to action in Finland - and the Veikkausliiga - where bottom two sides RoPS and TPS battle it out in a relegation six pointer.

The home side, RoPS, head into this clash sitting second bottom, with a six point advantage on their guests - and that will give them a boost as they look to put more space between the two clubs.

Juha Malinen has seen his side pick up some impressive results of late, too. Four unbeaten, including an impressive 2-0 win away at Honka last time out, will breed confidence, and their home form, which consists two wins and a draw, and two clean sheets from three, suggests that they are more than capable of picking up maximum points here.

TPS find themselves languishing at the foot of the table ahead of this game, and that is largely down to a run of poor results which has seen them lose eight of their last 11.

It's worth mentioning that Mika Laurikainen's charges did win their last encounter - a 3-0 home victory against MyPA - but that looks to be something of an anomoly, and seven straight losses on the road, consisting 20 goals shipped and just four notched, suggests that they might struggle here.

Bet 2: RoPS (HOME) @ 1.68/13

To Sweden for our final pick of the day, and Mjallby welcome Falkenbergs to the Strandvallen, looking for nothing less than three points in order to climb out of the Allsvenskan relegation dropzone.

The hosts have won two of their last three in front of their own fans, and that is likely to give them some real momentum heading into this game - and knowing that a win could lift them out of the mire, and even above their guests, will be a huge motivational factor for Lars Jacobsson's side.

Much of Mjallby's recent woes have been on the road - indeed, just one win from 10 on their travels - which makes these encounters on home turf all the more important in their quest to retain top tier status.

Visitors Falkenbergs line up for this trip in 12th place, just two points ahead of their hosts, and three without a win sees them at something of a low ebb.

Henrik Larsson's side have only won one of their last nine league outings away from their own patch, and five goalless returns from their last six underlines where there problems lie, which is ironic considering their manager's hotshot playing career.

Historically, this is a fixture that favours Mjallby. They have won the last three meetings between these two sides, and have only lost once since 2006.

Bet 3: Mjallby (HOME) @ 2.111/10
