Arsenal to miss out on La Liga star - Transfer Talk

Is Michu set for a season long loan away from the Premier League?

Alvaro Morata has been linked with a move to Arsenal for about as long as I can remember but with Alexis Sanchez coming in, interest has cooled and he's set to go to the grand old lady of Italian football.

Napoli have expressed an interest in trying to secure a deal to take Swansea front man Michu on loan for a full season.

The Daily Mail has reported that the Spain international has not travelled with the Premier League side on their pre-season tour to the United States. Representatives of the former Rayo Vallecano man are understood to have started talks with the Serie A outfit as Rafael Benitez looks to bolster his squad with a Champions League campaign in mind. The 28-year-old struggled with injuries last term and is contracted to the Welsh side until 2017.

Marca understands that Real Madrid and Italian champions Juventus are finalising the transfer of young striker Alvaro Morata. The 21-year-old has attracted interest from a number of clubs since the end of last term but it appears that the Serie A giants are on the verge of adding his to their squad. The Spanish publication reports that a fee of 22million has been agreed and it is now just a case of going over personal terms and passing a medical. Morata netted nine times for Los Blancos last season but saw his opportunities limited with Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Sky Sports believes that Juventus are also looking to try and secure a move for Manchester United defender Patrice Evra. The Red Devils have already signed left-back Luke Shaw this summer and are rumoured to be looking at potential others to play in that role, leaving Evra worried about his future. The Italian outfit are looking to take advantage of his contract situation as he only has one year left on his current deal. The France international has claimed five Premier League titles and one Champions League crown during his spell with the club and is seen by Antonio Conte as a player that could add some experience to his squad.

Chelsea have been alerted to the fact that Paris Saint-Germain defender Adrien Rabiot has refused to sign a new deal, according to the Metro. The Blues expressed an interest in the 19-year-old during the January transfer window but after picking up an injury he dropped of Jose Mourinho's radar. It has been reported that the Stamford Bridge side would be prepared to part with 7million to lure him away from Ligue 1. However, they may face competition from Arsenal to sign the man who is contracted to PSG until 2015.
