Against All Odds: Thor to upset the champs

It's all about Iceland today

There's top flight action from Iceland this evening and Paul Robinson thinks that KR Reykjavik have to be opposed at the prices for their trip to Thor.

Thor have endured a pretty miserable start to their campaign as after 10 fixtures they are rock bottom of the rvalsdeild having picked up just five points. That doesn't quite tell the whole story though as while they've been beaten seven times, their goal difference is only minus five, as six of those losses were by a single goal margin.

A 1-0 reverse at home to Valur ended a run of two without defeat in front of their own fans and if we look at their results last season, they lost less than 50% of their outings on their ground in Vestmannaeyjar.

KR Reykjavik are the powerhouses of Icelandic football and they won their 26th league title last year. Three defeats already has left them down in third place this time around though and while it's still early on in the season, they already trail leaders, FH, by five points.

Rnar Kristinsson's side won 3-2 at IBV in their last away match but prior to that they were beaten by Stjaman and held by Fjolnir. Even when winning the title last term, the Reykjavik outfit lost four of their final seven on the road.

There is no disputing the fact that the visitors should be the favourites for this clash, but the odds should be a lot closer than they are. That's why, at around the 1.51/2 mark, I have to make KR Reykjavik my lay of the day.
