Against All Odds: Ecuador to rule Argentina in Libertadores

The Estudiantes players will be crying on each other's shoulders later

The Copa Libertadores provided Paul Robinson with three winners last week and he's back in that competition again tonight as he thinks that Estudiantes have to be opposed at odds-on.

Trailing 1-0 from the first leg in Ecuador last Thursday, Estudiantes will need to put in a performance today to make it through to the group stage of the competition.

I am not overly confident about that happening though as Mauricio Pellegrino's side haven't been playing well in recent friendlies as the wonderfully nicknamed 'Rat Stabbers' have failed to win any of them.

Their task is made even harder by the fact that Independiente already have the one goal lead, so they are certain to travel over to Argentina to not only park the bus, but the aeroplane as well.

Pablo Repetto's men have only been beaten four times in 17 competitive matches on the road and that includes domestic and intercontinental competition.

I would have the hosts as nearer evens than their current price, so with their odds trading at around the 1.4640/85 mark, I have to make them my lay of the day.
