Opta Stats: Liverpool to prolong their invincible stretch

Things are going so well at Liverpool at the moment that even Mario Balotelli is scoring

The latest harvest of Opta goodness offers inspiration to West Brom and Liverpool, but not so much for Everton...

Hull v QPR (Saturday, 15:00)

There have been just five goals in the last four matches between Hull and QPR

As these two clubs sit directly above the drop zone, caginess will rule if the importance of leaving with something overrides the desperation to take three points. Six of Hull's last eight encounters had under 2.5 goals and the exceptions were 3-0 defeats to clubs higher up the table. Unders were on the menu in five of QPR's past seven league games, including both of their two under Chris Ramsey.

Recommended Bet: Back under 2.5 goals @ 1.75/7

Sunderland v West Brom (Saturday, 15:00)

West Brom have lost just one of the last ten Premier League games against Sunderland (W7 D2 L1)

Opta note that West Brom have earned more Premier League victories over Sunderland (eight) than any other opponents and current form certainly reflects favourably on their prospects of a ninth.

The Baggies have won five in eight since Tony Pulis arrived, being beaten only once, whereas Sunderland have lost three of their past four home league fixtures. The Black Cats have also prevailed in just one of their seven clashes with the five teams below them, firing five blanks.

Recommended Bet: Back West Brom to win @ 3.02/1

Everton v Leicester (Sunday, 14:05, Sky Sports 1)

Twelve of the 17 Premier League matches between Everton and Leicester have ended as draws

The key trends for this showdown imply that neither side is playing well enough to triumph. Everton are winless in five at Goodison Park, drawing the latest four, while Leicester have won only once in 11 on their Premier League travels. The Toffees performed laudably at Young Boys in midweek, but have a one-in-five win rate when playing on the Sunday after a Thursday night Europa League tie.

Recommended Bet: Back the draw @ 3.711/4

Southampton v Liverpool (Sunday, 16:15, Sky Sports 1)

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last nine Premier League matches (W6 D3)

The Reds' run without a 90-minute defeat is even more impressive across all competitions, spanning a formidable 17 games, and their ascent has coincided with a slight slump at Southampton to leave the pair a mere four points apart. Opta reveal that the Saints have won a disappointing two of their last seven home league matches, and a poorer still one in seven at St Mary's when their visitors have scored.

Recommended Bet: Back Liverpool (draw no bet) to win @ 2.26/5
