Yaya might be swapping Manchester for Milan this summer
Manchester United are eyeing up a double defender swoop and on the other side of the city, Yaya Toure might be swapping Manchester for Milan.
Manchester United are weighing up a double swoop for defensive duo Benedikt Howedes and Kyle Walker.
The latter has struggled to cement a place in the Tottenham first-team this season under manager Mauricio Pochettino with the England international making just nine Premier League appearances so far.
Despite the limited playing time, Spurs still rate the right-back very highly and it would likely take a substantial offer, around the 20million mark according to the Daily Mail, to sign the defender.
The Red Devils are desperate to add some quality to their back-line, though, and head coach Louis van Gaal is hopeful of completing a deal in the summer to solve their defensive frailties.
The second player on the wish-list, according to the Daily Mirror, is Schalke star Howedes and the German international is rumoured to be eyeing a move to England in the near future.
The 26-year-old has made 17 Bundesliga appearances this season but the defender stoked the rumours of an exit after saying "a move abroad at a certain time would be worth an experience, England would be my goal."
United are hoping a big-money offer around the 15-20million mark will be enough to land the German in the summer.
Schalke manager Roberto Di Matteo is desperate to hold onto his prized asset and the ex-Chelsea head coach is expected to fight hard to keep the defender at the club.
Moving on to a story from the Daily Star, Chelsea captain John Terry is hopeful of signing a new one-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with his current deal finishing at the end of the season.
The 34-year-old has been at the club since 1995, where the defender began in the youth ranks, and the former England international has been a stalwart for the Blues ever since.
A new contract is likely to be signed after another impressive season so far and Terry said "the club know my position, hopefully I know theirs and it will get done."
Finally, Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is hoping to be re-united with Ivory Coast international Yaya Toure next season with the Italian giants preparing a huge summer offer.
The midfielder has been a stand-out performer for Manchester City ever since arriving at the club back in 2010 but there have been reports surfacing of a move away.
The Citizens are keen on keeping Toure at the club but Inter are hopeful a bid around the 30million mark will be enough to land the former Barcelona star.
