Harry Kane scored late on to earn Spurs a point
Luke Moore rounds up the three Premier League games that took place on Sunday afternoon...
It was 97 minutes of high drama at White Hart Lane this afternoon as Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs entertained West Ham in the first game of the day in the Premier League. The Hammers found themselves 0-2 in front with ten minutes left thanks to goals from Cheikhou Kouyate and Diafra Sakho, but Spurs were able to respond first through Danny Rose and then Harry Kane, who missed a penalty in the 96th minute but followed the rebound up successfully, to clinch an unlikely point.
The game finished 2-2 after well over 500k was matched on West Ham at 1.081/12 or less, and, in the circumstances, Sam Allardyce and his charges will certainly be considering that result two points dropped in their quest to secure a Europa League berth this season.
Over at Goodison Park, it was another bad day at the office for Everton. They may have put Young Boys to the sword in the Europa League on Thursday night, but Roberto Martinez's men were unable to replicate that same form against Leicester. Despite going a goal ahead, they could only draw 2-2 thanks to an 87th minute equaliser from Romelu Lukaku after the Foxes turned the game on its head in the second half.
The 2-2 scoreline was matched at a massive 110.0109/1 on Betfair's Exchange and the Toffees are now 21.020/1 to finish in this season's Top 6.
In the final game of the afternoon, Liverpool recorded a much-needed 0-2 win at St Mary's over fellow Top 4 chasers Southampton. Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring with a spectacular long-range effort, and Raheem Sterling was able to double the Reds' lead deep into the second half. The Liverpool win was matched as high as 3.259/4 and Brendan Rodgers' men are now in to 3.185/40 to secure that Champions League spot. Southampton, meanwhile, have drifted right out to 3.55n/a.
