Marcelo Bielsa's Marseille are in terrible away form
Michael Lintorn offers in-play ideas for Tottenham v West Ham, Wolfsburg v Hertha Berlin and St Etienne v Marseille...
Tottenham v West Ham
Sunday, 12:00
Live on BT Sport 1
Match Odds: Tottenham 1.814/5, West Ham 5.04/1, The Draw 3.953/1
Since West Ham returned to the Premier League, there has been at least one goal in the closing 12 minutes of five of their six derbies with Tottenham, and the results of three of the most recent five clashes were altered by such late interventions.
In February 2013, Gareth Bale fired a 90th-minute winner at the Boleyn Ground after Spurs had trailed 2-1. Ten months later, Matt Jarvis and Modibo Maiga revived the Irons from 1-0 behind in the Capital One Cup at White Hart Lane. In this term's initial showdown, the east Londoners went from being a man up and having a penalty to being felled at the finish by Eric Dier.
Between them, Tottenham and West Ham have been involved in three Premier League matches this month alone in which there was an outcome-adjusting strike in the 83rd minute or later. It is surely smart then to lay whoever is leading - or the draw if it is level - as the clock hits 78 or so?
Wolfsburg v Hertha Berlin
Sunday, 16:30
Live on BT Sport 1
Match Odds: Wolfsburg 1.341/3, Hertha Berlin 11.5n/a, The Draw 5.79/2
There arguably hasn't been a side on the planet more fun to follow in 2015 than Bundesliga neutrals' least favourites Wolfsburg. They have scored 15 times in five games, with Dutch forward Bas Dost netting nine of them, and highlights have included a 4-1 thrashing of Bayern Munich and 5-4 triumph at Bayer Leverkusen.
It might therefore appear as though they are set up for a fall against second-bottom Hertha Berlin, but don't count on it. The biggest clue that magic is happening is if Wolfsburg strike in the first ten minutes. The past four times that has happened - three of them this year - they have gone on to score three or more, and they have a five in six success rate for doing that over the entire campaign.
St Etienne v Marseille
Sunday, 20:00
Live on BT Sport 1
Match Odds: St Etienne 2.68/5, Marseille 3.1511/5, The Draw 3.259/4
This illustrious fixture between the only ten-time champions in French football history is a pivotal moment in Marseille's season. They have gone nine away games in all competitions without a win and they can't keep relying on Lyon and Paris St-Germain wobbling to keep them in title contention, especially now that there isn't an 11-match home winning streak to fall back on.
One thing you can usually rely on when Marcelo Bielsa's men are in action is a competitive contest. None of their prior nine encounters across the board were won or lost by a margin greater than one goal, and seven of the latest eight saw both teams score. It is therefore advisable to lay the deadlock breakers - which were the hosts in all of their last four Ligue 1 trips - to keep a clean sheet.
