It's Orange Monday
The week begins in the Dutch second tier for Paul Robinson as he thinks that De Graafschap have to be opposed at odds-on against Jong Twente.
Jong Twente v De Graafschap
Monday February 23, 19:00 GMT
It's been a satisfactory campaign for FC Twente's reserve team as while they are the lowest ranked of the three second string sides, they are at least three places higher than where they finished last year.
Jan Zoutman's side come into the match in decent heart having beaten Telstar 3-1 last time out and it's now just one defeat in four. 'Tukkers' have an acceptable home record this season as they've only been beaten four times in 13 outings and they won this fixture last term.
De Graafschap were relegated to this division in 2012 and they would have hoped to have gone back up by now. The Doetinchem based club are in the promotion hunt thanks to a quartet of victories and a draw from their last five outings but they are still six points adrift of the play-off places.
The main reason for that is their spell of five defeats in half a dozen fixtures from the end of November until the middle of January. So while Jan Vreman's men are in better form now, it's worth noting that their four victories came against teams in the bottom half of the league.
The visitors have a win percentage of 33.33% on the road this year and the hosts have avoided defeat nearly 70% of the time. That's why, with De Graafschap trading at around the 1.814/5 mark, I have to make them my lay of the day.
