Against All Odds: Railwaymen to stay on track at Donny

Steve Davis has got his players in top form

The in-form Crewe travel north to Doncaster this evening and Paul Robinson thinks that the Betfair market has written them off prematurely.

Doncaster v Crewe
Tuesday February 17, 19:45 GMT

Following their relegation from the Championship last year, Doncaster Rovers are trying to bounce straight back. They are currently in eighth place, one point off the play-offs with a game in hand.

Paul Dickov's side come into this fixture having demolished both Crawley and Yeovil. The scores were 5-0 and 3-0 respectively but it's worth remembering that both of those clubs are in the relegation zone.

Prior to those results, Donny had won one of eight fixtures in all competitions and while they were only beaten twice, a draw would do us just fine tonight. Even if we concentrate solely on their form in front of their own fans, it's four wins from 14 at the Keepmoat Stadium this term.

Crewe Alexandra are in the midst of a revival after a pretty miserable start to their campaign. The Railwaymen are now up to 17th having lost just two of their last 10 league outings - seven of which were victories.

There is a slight concern that Steve Davis' men have had a pretty poor away record in recent years but they have been much better of late on the road as they've won three of their last four - including a 2-1 success at promotion chasing, Oldham.

There are plenty of stats pointing away from a home win tonight, so with Doncaster trading at around the 1.75/7 mark, I have to make them my lay of the day.
