Nani to be used as makeweight for ВЈ45m Juventus star? - Transfer Talk

Nani to leave Old Trafford for Serie A?

The media don't take Sunday's off and nor do we although Thiago Silva to Liverpool does seem a little bit far-fetched for us...

The Sunday Express suggests that Liverpool are wanting to take Seattle Sounders defender, DeAndre Yeldin, on a trial with a view for a permanent move. The 20-year-old impressed with the plucky American side at the World Cup recently, where it seems that his performances have left a lasting impression on Reds boss Brendan Rodgers. Yeldin's versatility - he can operate as both a left and right-back as well as a winger - makes him a very enticing prospect indeed.

The Daily Star write that it is going to take 45million plus Luis Nani, 27, for Manchester United to land Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal. The Chilean midfielder performed brilliantly at the World Cup, cementing his place in the upper echelons of international midfielders and impressing incoming United boss Louis van Gaal when Chile lost 2-0 to the Netherlands. Nani has been a peripheral figure at Old Trafford the last few seasons and will jump at the opportunity to leave.

The Daily Star also announce that veteran midfielder Frank Lampard is set to declare that he will sign for New York City FC. The MLS club, backed financially by the owners of Manchester City, have already signed David Villa this summer and the deal with the 36-year-old Lampard seems all but a formality.

The Daily Mirror report that Arsene Wenger has identified two midfielders to shore up his frail midfield - Sami Khedira and Morgan Schneiderlin. Wenger, who is currently enjoying the football in Brazil, has submitted his wish list to chief executive Ivan Gazidis to pursue. It is no secret that Arsenal need a combatant midfielder and both Khedira, of Real Madrid, and Schneiderlin, of Southampton, fit the mould perfectly.

Over in Italy, Corriere dello Sport are reporting that Barcelona have not only wrapped up a deal for Liverpool's Luis Suarez but are close to bringing in Brazil captain Thiago Silva from PSG. The Catalan giants are looking for a centre-back following the retirement of Carlos Puyol and as centre-backs go, there aren't many out there better than Silva.

Newcastle target Clement Grenier has said that he will quit Lyon, but only if the deal is financially beneficial for the French club, the Newcastle Chronicle writes. Grenier rejected a move to the club in January, but now seems open to swapping central France for North England.

The Liverpool Echo report that Pepe Reina's agent has confirmed that the goalkeeper will return to Liverpool for pre-season training later this month. Reina spent last season on loan with Napoli after a move to Barcelona failed to materialise. With Simon Mignolet yet to fully own the number 1 jersey at Anfield, Reina may just have a future on the Mersey.
