Luis Suarez to Barca within 48 hours - Transfer Talk Fri 4 July

Luis Suarez is seemingly chomping at the bit to sign for Barcelona

Luis Suarez leads the transfer talk for this Friday but there are plenty of big names being linked with moves according to the written media today.

A lot of sources are suggesting that it is going to be a busy few days at Anfield, whilst Arsenal are also readying numerous bids.

The Daily Mail report that Luis Suarez should finalise an 80million move to Barcelona, within the next 48 hours, they also add that Liverpool target, Dejan Lovren, will not embark on Southampton's pre-season training as he tries to push through a move to the club.

Arsenal are willing to spend 20million in their attempts to land another Southampton player, Morgan Schneiderlin, the Daily Express writes. The 24-year-old is currently on World Cup duty with France and is also supposedly attracting interest from Italian giants Napoli.

The Daily Star say that Manchester City have had a 32million bid for Porto defender Elaquim Mangala accepted. The 23-year-old, who is currently on international duty with France, would prefer to move to Chelsea but it is not known at this time whether Jose Mourinho will be planning on making a move.

Whilst the Daily Mirror also report that Man City have agreed a fee for Mangala, they also say that they have agreed a 30million deal-in-principle for Mehdi Benatia, of Roma, if Mangala turns them down.

Real Madrid have offered Angel Di Maria, 26, to Manchester United for 40m, as they themselves prepare to make a move for Monaco's wide-man James Rodriguez. The Argentine winger is also courting the interest of Arsenal, PSG and Juventus, according to the Daily Star.

Petr Cech is the subject of tug of war between super-rich PSG and their not so poor southern counterparts Monaco, write The Sun. The 'keeper, who has been a stalwart for Chelsea for the past 10 years, looks likely to be making way as Belgian starlet Thibaut Courtois returns to the club after a three-year loan spell with Atletico Madrid.

The Sun also suggest that free-spending MLS side Toronto FC are trying to hijack New York City's move for free-agent Frank Lampard. The 36-year-old's contract expired in the summer and it is widely expected that he will leave for America.

Newcastle are attempting to push through a deal for Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette, report The Telegraph. A striker is imperative for the Tyneside club with Shola Ameobi being released and Loic Remy deciding on not returning to St. James' Park. The 23-year-old, available for 10million, will join the ever-growing French contingent in the North East if he does decide to join the Premier League outfit.
