Jose Mourinho lost on his previous two league trips to Villa Park
These Opta trends hint that laying Chelsea, backing Southampton and taking unders at Turf Moor are great bets...
Aston Villa v Chelsea (Saturday, 15:00)
Jose Mourinho has a surprisingly poor record away to Aston Villa in the Premier League (W0 D3 L2)
Aston Villa might seem ripe for a thrashing after being humiliated 5-0 by Arsenal last weekend, but they have lost just once in eight at Villa Park, holding Southampton and Man United in that period. It also happens to be Mourinho's bogey ground, somewhere that he has never won despite Villa being a mid-table or lower team whenever he has worked in England. His two most recent visits were defeats.
Recommended Bet: Lay Chelsea to win @ 1.384/11
Leicester v Crystal Palace (Saturday, 15:00)
Crystal Palace have scored exactly two goals in their last three matches against Leicester
The Eagles netted as often in Alan Pardew's first away Premier League encounter as boss at Burnley (three times) as in the eight road trips prior to his arrival combined. Their four and three-goal shows at Dover and Southampton in the FA Cup prove that what happened at Turf Moor wasn't a one-off. Leicester have conceded two or more goals in 14 of their 23 league fixtures. Only QPR can "beat" that.
Recommended Bet: Back Crystal Palace to score two goals or more @ 3.259/4
QPR v Southampton (Saturday, 15:00)
Southampton have won three consecutive Premier League away games for the first time ever
QPR's respectable home record this term - P12 W5 D4 L3 - is a consequence of having hosted every bottom-eight foe. They haven't beaten a side higher than 14th at any venue since promotion, losing eight of their nine clashes with those in the top eight. Meanwhile, Southampton's figures against clubs tenth or lower read P12 W9 D2 L1 and they have won three from three against the bottom three.
Recommended Bet: Back Southampton to win @ 1.8810/11
Burnley v West Brom (Sunday, 12:00, Sky Sports 1)
Burnley have scored just 11 goals in 12 Premier League home games this season
Don't bank on Sean Dyche and Tony Pulis resolving to put on a spectacle for the TV cameras as all of the statistics point to under 2.5 goals in Sunday's lunchtime match. In addition to the bolded Burnley trend above, Opta note that West Brom have fired just eight goals across their previous 16 Premier League away matches. They have only struck twice in their past five top-flight games home or away.
Recommended Bet: Back under 2.5 goals @ 1.684/6
