European Football: Five Betting Pointers from October 4/5

"Don't worry lads, leave it to me"

The Big European leagues are all back in action after the international break, Louis Massarella talks clean sheets, surprise Champions League contenders and unlikely stalemates coming up in Europe this weekend.

Paris Saint-Germain to draw again
With captain and star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic having suffered an injury-hit season so far, PSG have made a stuttering start to their title defence. They've drawn four of their last five games 1-1, and 10.5n/a looks good value for the same scoreline, even against lowly Lens.

Second top and second bottom to share the spoils in Bundesliga
Hoffenheim host Hamburg on Sunday, with the high-flying hosts confident of victory after an impressive victory against Schalke in their last game. But Hamburg, despite struggling last season and earning just five points so far this time around, have a habit of raising their game against the better teams, drawing against Bayern Munich and beating Dortmund in their last game. This makes a draw tempting at 3.55n/a

Samp for the Champions League
Sampdoria may have had to make do with mid-table mediocrity last season but they've started this campaign with a bang, climbing to third, just ahead of fellow surprise packages Udinese. With teams such as Inter, Milan and Fiorentina seemingly in transition or struggling, could Sinisa Mihajlovic's men sneak a top-three finish? 29.028/1 suggests not but it's worth a punt.

No end in sight for Depor's poor run of form
With four straight defeats - including an 8-2 drubbing at home to Real Madrid and a 4-1 loss in Sevilla last week - Deportivo La Coruna are rooted to the bottom of La Liga. And with the visit of second-place Valencia this weekend, things aren't about to get any easier. The Galicians usually get on the scoresheet themselves, but can't keep them out at the other end. 16.5n/a for a 3-1 Valencia win is generous.

Another win, but not another clean sheet for Bara
Barcelona have yet to concede a league goal under Luis Enrique and that's not expected to change for the visit of Eibar, even if the newcomers have been punching above their weight this season. But could the leaders be vulnerable with so many of their players returning from international duty? Try 1-1 at half-time at 15.014/1 with the Catalans likely to find an extra gear in the second half.
