City's hotshot produced the goods once again
Sergio Aguero is one of the Premier League's most reliable talents and his goal spree on Saturday resulted in profits for plenty of BB's finest...
Manchester City's 4-1 defeat of Spurs was good news for a whole host of BB contributors with winning bets popping up all over the site.
Sergio Aguero's 12th minute opener was good news for Michael Cox, who put up the Argentinian striker as a 5.85/1 first scorer bet, and Dan Fitch, who had the City no.16 to score anytime at 2.186/5. Aguero was one of four winning tips (from five) for Dan's Goalscorer Gamble column this weekend with other winning selections including Graziano Pelle at 5.79/2 and Eintracht Frankfurt's Alexander Meier at 6.75n/a. Back of the net!
A home win for the Premier League champions was also welcomed by Andrew Hughes, who made Manuel Pellegrini's men the cornerstone of another successful weekend Multiple. Andrew combined City with Racing Metro and German tennis' latest wunderkind, Annika Beck, to create a 5.67n/a winner and is now in excess of 15 points up for his columns in 2014.
Lewis Jones was another to get behind City - confidently recommending a four point bet on the home side giving Spurs a one goal advantage at odds of 2.35n/a. That return has boosted Lewis to +9pts profit for the season on his Premier League previews.
Can we step away from the top-flight now? Good, because Mike Norman was again on top form with his Championship tipping column, continuing a very strong run that sees his P&L at +17.34pts. Mike selected his beloved Boro at 3.211/5 to beat Brighton and Bolton to secure a win for new manager Neil Lennon away to Birmingham at a very decent 3.55n/a. And he was a whisker away from a treble only for Ipswich to conceded an injury time equaliser to 10-man Blackburn.
It was a similar story across the North Sea where Will Burns selected a pair of winners from three Eredivisie bets, including a 3.711/4 draw between FC Twente and Ajax.
The ball has changed shape but the winners keep coming with Simon Frankin Mail putting up a trio of odds-against winners in his European Rugby Champions Cup tipping column. Simon is now +12pts up for his rugby bets in 2014.
We now go to the NFL, where Romilly Evans continued to tap a strong vein of form selecting six winners from 10 bets in his focus on Week Seven's televised games in the UK. Rom has now put up 19 successful bets from his last 24 recommendations. Touchdown, baby!
And we don't restrict ourselves to sports - we love our Specials and Jack Houghton is our man for all things X Factor. The eliminations have begun on the ITV blockbuster and Jack was on the money with his back of Steph Nala to exit the show at 3.412/5. Cue tears for Steph and a joyful fist pump for Jack.
