TV Football Tips: Chelsea favourite set for swift impact

Burton are on course for a third top-seven finish in a row

A back, a lay and an under 2.5 goals tip for the weekend's three most high-profile televised domestic fixtures...

Plymouth v Portsmouth
Saturday, 12:05
Live on Sky Sports 1

Match Odds: Plymouth 2.3211/8, Portsmouth 3.55n/a, The Draw 3.412/5

The hosts are on a six-match winning run at Home Park across all competitions and have to be backed when Portsmouth hit town.

Pompey have won just once in eight attempts on the road so far this term in League Two, and that was all the way back in August by a single goal against Oxford, with Andy Awford's men losing four of their last six away.

Meanwhile, Plymouth's defeat last time out at League One club Coventry in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy was their first in nine games.

Recommended Bet: Back Plymouth to win @ 2.3211/8

FC Halifax Town v Woking
Sunday, 14:00
Live on BT Sport 2

Match Odds: FC Halifax Town 2.3611/8, Woking 3.259/4, The Draw 3.613/5

These teams started the weekend next door to each other in sixth and fifth in the Conference Premier table, and splitting them isn't easy.

The hosts have emerged victorious from six of their nine Conference Premier home matches this term, but the one they've lost at The Shay in 2014/15 occurred fairly recently against struggling Altrincham, while Woking are unbeaten away in the league in three, winning two of those games.

With that in mind, backing under 2.5 goals looks the way to play, as all four of these sides' combined league fixtures to date in November have limboed this mark.

Recommended Bet: Back under 2.5 goals @ 1.9720/21

Wycombe v Burton
Monday, 19:45
Live on Sky Sports 1

Match Odds: Wycombe 2.26/5, Burton 3.613/5, The Draw 3.45n/a

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink looks to have landed a pretty plum gig at Burton, as the Brewers open matchday 17 in the League Two play-off spots, five points ahead of eighth-placed Newport.

Hasselbaink's new charges narrowly lost last time out on the road at Stevenage, thanks to a late own goal from defender Ian Sharps, but won their previous two away to Northampton and Carlisle.

Table-toppers they may be, but hosts Wycombe have failed to win two of their last three home games, with a pair of 1-1 draws coming at League Two bottom-halfers Northampton and Dagenham. Allied with the fabled 'new manager bounce', laying the Chairboys is advised.

Recommended Bet: Lay Wycombe to win @ 2.226/5
