There haven't been many goals at Llagostera this season
It's been a week of ups and downs for Kevin Hatchard, and he's hoping to finish with a flourish in Spain.
Llagostera v Tenerife
Sunday November 16, 18:00
We expected the Sol to set, and instead it shone brightly. Sportivo Luqueno had only lost one of their last eight encounters with Paraguayan rivals Sol de America, and they picked an annoying time to sully that record, losing 2-0. We're more or less back to where we started this week, after three winners and three losers.
Let's try to go out with a bang then, and we look to the second tier of Spanish football, and a relegation scrap between Llagostera and Tenerife.
Llagostera are second from bottom in the standings, and have collected just nine points from 12 matches. Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons scores more often than Llagostera - they've hit the net just five times this season, drawing a blank in four of their last five home games.
Tenerife is known to many as a fun holiday destination, but there hasn't been a lot of fun on offer on the Canary Island. Tenerife are just two points above the relegation zone, but they have at least picked up in recent weeks, collecting seven points from their last three outings.
This is a battle between one team that's awful at home, and one team that's been terrible on the road. The Catalan club have lost four of their six games at Palamos Costa Brava, while Tenerife have lost five of their six road games. Writing about the town of Palamos has dredged up a memory of a typical Dad-led day on holiday - a two-hour walk in the wrong direction looking for shops that weren't really that great in the first place. Great ice cream though.
Given Llalgostera's goalscoring problems, and the fact Tenerife have failed to score in four of their seven away games this season, I'm leaning towards backing No in the Both Teams To Score market at 1.9520/21. Both teams are in relegation danger, and games like this are often tense, with teams trying to play risk-averse football. I also wouldn't totally discourage you from backing the visitors at 2.6213/8, as they are starting to show a bit of form against a side that's finding this division tough going.
