Rumours: Saints want Kane and Townsend from Spurs

Spurs still want Jay Rodriguez according to reports but if they want him, they have have to part with players as well as cash. Alex Johnson rounds up the morning media rumours.

Arsenal's pursuit of Sevilla's Grzegorz Krychowiak could be in danger due to interest from Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund.

The Pole only moved to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the summer following a couple of seasons at French club Reims, but a strong start to the campaign has led to speculation linking him with an early move away and the Gunners are thought to be leading the chase.

However, with his release clause being a fairly reasonable 24million, he has also attracted the attentions of both Dortmund and Inter, according to the Daily Express.

Staying with some more Gunners news and talkSPORT say the North Londoners face fresh competition for France international striker Andre-Pierre Gignac.

The Marseille star is out of contract in the summer and his fine start to the campaign has led to speculation the Ligue 1 outfit could look to cash in on him in January, with Liverpool also thought to be keen.

Dynamo Moscow have now entered the race though and the 28-year-old could be open to a switch to the Russian club where he would join former L'OM colleague Mathieu Valbuena.

To Chelsea and Clubcall say their chances of signing Sami Khedira from Real Madrid have been dealt a blow following the injury to Luka Modric.

The German has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in recent months but it now appears any possible deal will be shelved after fresh reports suggested the Croatian will be out for longer than expected, meaning Real boss Carlo Ancelotti will look to keep Khedira as back-up heading into the New Year.

Moving on and Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing themselves for a host of January bids from Premier League clubs for winger Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Swiss playmaker joined the Bavarians in 2012 but has struggled to earn a regular place due to the presence of Arjen Robben, Thomas Muller and Franck Ribery, and has made no secret of his unhappiness with the situation.

According to the Daily Star, Bayern will consider letting him leave in the winter window, with Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham amongst the host of clubs chasing his signature.

Finally and Southampton will demand both Harry Kane and Andros Townsend if Tottenham approach them about signing Jay Rodriguez.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be keen on signing the currently injured England forward but the Saints won't let their former boss raid them without significant reward, with the Daily Mirror saying they will not sell Rodriguez unless the White Hart Lane club are prepared to include both Kane and Townsend in the deal.
