Premier League on Betfair: 109-1 Palace shock Liverpool while Spurs benefit from red card at Hull

Selhurst Park was Liverpool's title graveyard last season and Brendan Rodgers' side endured another torrid 90 minutes in south London today. 

The game began in perfect fashion with summer signings Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert combining with the former Southampton centre forward beating Julian Speroni after just two minutes. With the one goal advantage Betfair customers were content to take 1.351/3 about Liverpool winning their fifth match of the season. 

But Palace boast lethal pace and Yannick Bolasie terrorised the Liverpool right throughout. The Congolese midfielder was the source of Palace's equaliser, his shot coming back off a post before being turned in by Dwight Gayle with little more than a quarter of an hour played. 

The home side were content to play on the break and, though they had to wait, their tactics worked a treat with Joe Ledley on 78 minutes and Mille Jedinak just three minutes later scoring their second and third. Liverpool were unable to reply and in-play backers of the 3-1 scoreline were matched at a high of 110.0109/1 while Over 3.5 goals was backed at 10.5n/a. 

Brendan Rodgers is now 7.26/1 third favourite in the betting on the next Premier League manager to leave his position. 

Next up for Liverpool is an away game at Ludogrets in the Champions League on Wednesday. They are evens to win, having been backed at 1.768/11.

In the late kick-off, Tottenham won away from home for the second game in succession but they were again indebted to a red card for the opposition. 

Spurs were trailing 1-0 to Hull but - just as at Aston Villa earlier this month - saw their opponents lose a man after the break, Gaston Ramirez sent off this time, and were able to take advantage, first through Harry Kane and late on via Christian Eriksen's edge of the box strike. Spurs were matched at 7.87/1 for the win. 

Tottenham are up to 10th, level on points with Arsenal and Everton. Roberto Martinez's Merseysiders are next up for the Londoners, with the Europa League duo kicking off at 4pm on Sunday.
