Neither of these clubs have delivered on their hype so far in this Ligue 1 campaign. Monaco have lost four of their first eight fixtures having shifted policy from signing galacticos to focussing spending on the academy, while Paris St-Germain's unbeaten start is undermined by five draws in eight.

The champions remain superb at home though, where they conquered Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek, winning 12 of their most recent 14 encounters and keeping nine clean sheets.

They are 2.1211/10 to shut Monaco out. The way to tell if it is a bet worth placing is to see if Leonardo Jardim's men net in the opening 27 minutes. Paris St-Germain have played at the Parc des Princes 16 times in 2014 and only once have their opponents misfired until that point and still gone on to find the net. So wait until that stage before backing the clean sheet - the price shouldn't change much.
