Luverdense had made an excellent start to life in the second tier following promotion last season. They were looking like potential top four candidates at around the halfway stage but four straight defeats has derailed their challenge somewhat.
Jnior Rocha's side have dropped to 12th in the table, 13 points adrift of the promotion places. Perhaps the most disappointing thing for the manager is that they scored just the one goal during those four games and only one of them was against top six opposition.
The Lucas do Rio Verde based club will be hopeful of a return to winning ways back on home soil, but it's now just three victories in eight in front of their own fans and it can be difficult to suddenly drag yourself out of the doldrums.
America RN aren't faring much better themselves as they currently occupy the fourth and final relegation place. It's a tight league though and they are actually only five points behind today's opponents.
Marcelo Martelotte's men picked up a much needed victory last time out as they beat fourth placed Joinville 1-0 at home. That result put an end to a 10 match winless run and could give them the confidence boost they need.
'Meco' may not have scored in their last four on the road but they kept two clean sheets during that period and they have avoided defeat in three of their last half dozen away from Natal.
I can't have a team at odds-on when they have lost four on the spin, no matter how bad the opponents. That's why, with Luverdense trading at around the 1.910/11 mark, I have to make them my lay of the day.
