Corinthians are going well at the moment
It's that time of the week where Paul Robinson selects a home win, an away win, a match to go over 2.5 goals and a match to go under 2.5 goals. Here are his selections...
Bet 1: Besiktas (HOME) @ 1.9 (10/11) - Available on Betfair Live Video at 18:30 BST
Besiktas have one foot in the final qualifying round for the Champions League group stage following their 2-1 first leg success in Holland last week. They actually led 2-0 before an injury time penalty gave Feyenoord a little bit of hope, however it's difficult to see anything other than a home win this evening.
The Turks are a pretty formidable outfit in their own stadium and that is highlighted by the fact that they haven't been beaten in front of their own fans since September 2013. Slaven Billic won't let his players ease off the gas despite their lead and they will be keen to get an early goal to put the tie to bed.
Feyenoord will have been disappointed to lose in their own country but the truth of the matter is that Besiktas are a notch above them. The Dutch league isn't that strong and even perennial winners, Ajax, struggle to make much impact in Europe's elite club competition.
Bet 2: Fluminense (AWAY) @ 1.8 (4/5) - Available on Betfair Live Video at 02:00 BST
Fluminense come into this Copa do Brasil tie in great heart as they have won their last three matches to nil. The 2012 champions are up to second in Serie A and while they will struggle to catch Cruzeiro, it's a huge improvement on the disastrous campaign that befell them last year.
Cristvo Borges' men have already recorded victories at the likes of Atletico PR and Bahia this term and while this is only the first leg, they should have too much class for their Serie B opposition and take a lead back to Rio.
America RN are currently situated in ninth place in Brazil's second tier and while they've made it through two rounds of this competition thus far, they haven't faced a team from the top flight yet.
They were beaten in their last match on home soil - 1-0 by Santa Cruz - and it's actually now just four wins from nine at Arena das Dunas - three defeats.
Bet 3: Red Bull Salzburg v Karabakh (Over 2.5 goals) @ 1.33 (1/3) - Available on Betfair Live Video at 19:30 BST
Back to the Champions League now and Red Bull Salzburg come into their second leg match with Karabakh trailing by two goals to one but they will be confident of turning that around this evening.
Adolf Htter's side were a revelation in the Europa League in 2013/14 and they are looking to continue that progress in this competition this season. The Austrian based club tend to rack up the goals at the Red Bull Arena and that is evidenced by the fact that 16 of their last 17 competitive matches there have gone over 2.5 goals.
Azerbaijan champions, Karabakh, will be delighted to take a lead to Austria but they are still a long way from making the next round. This is a daunting trip for a team who have lost three of their five most recent away games and even though they did win last week, the statistics suggest that Gurban Gurbanov's men were lucky to get the victory.
Bet 4: Bahia v Corinthians (Under 2.5 goals) @ 1.5 (1/2) - Live on Premier Sports and Betfair Live Video at 02:00 BST
Our final destination is Brazil and this second leg Copa do Brasil clash between Corinthians and Bahia looks set to be a low-scoring affair.
Bahia are enduring a miserable campaign as they are second from bottom in the league and are practically out of this competition following a 3-0 defeat in the first leg a fortnight ago.
Mrcio Arajo's side are struggling in front of goal and they've now netted only three times in nine outings. They wouldn't be doing too badly if they could improve just slightly in the attacking areas as they only conceded more than two themselves on one occasion during that period.
Corinthians are the go to team if you're looking for an under 2.5 goals bet. Last season practically all of their matches finished with two goals or less and while they have since changed manager, that pattern has continued this year.
With a 3-0 lead already secured, I expect 'Timo' to just shut up shop and soak up any pressure from their opponents with relative ease.
