Betfair Live Video: Goals galore in Stockholm on Sunday

Henok Goitom and co. will cause Hacken problems

Reuben Thomas picks out two highlights from this Sunday's football offerings on Betfair Live Video...

AIK v Hcken
Sunday 16:30

Sunday afternoon and the cameras are headed to Stockholm to catch a big clash from the Allsvenskan as AIK host Hacken.

Last year's runners up AIK are again leading the chasing pack behind Malmo, they lie in second, seven points behind the leaders.

Coach Andreas Alm has his team playing with an attractive attacking style and their forward players are profiting from the good service from their creative midfield players such as the gifted Cost Rican Celso Borges.

Strike pair Nabil Bahoui and Henok Goitom have 15 goals between them so far and AIK are the top scorers in the league. There has been over 2.5 Goals scored in 15 of their last 17 games and that trend appears likely to continue at the Friends Arena in Solna on Sunday.

Having won eight of their last ten at home and unbeaten against Hacken in their last six AIK should be confident.

However Hacken will make the trip up from Gothenburg also in buoyant mood after scoring nine in their last three games.

Despite the sale of top scorer Moestafa El Kabil coach Peter Gerhardsson has seen his team continue to progress. Although they are unlikely to challenge for the title they are in serious consideration for a European place.

One of the main reasons for this year's success has been the number of potential goal scorers they have in their ranks. Simon Gustaffson, Martin Ericsson, Rene Makondele and Carlos Strandberg all have at least five to their name and it's hard for opposition defences to know which to focus on stopping.

Earlier in the year this game finished with a 2-2 draw and with both teams in good form and coming off midweek cup wins this should be an entertaining affair.

Gremio v Corinthians
Sunday 20:00

Sunday evening's action from the Brazilian Campeonato sees struggling Gremio take on Corinthians.

Gremio finished second last season but have been largely disappointing so far this campaign and currently sit in tenth. With only thirteen goals from their sixteen matches in the league it's easy to see where their problems lie.

A change was needed and in July 'Big Phil' Scolari returned to the club for his third spell in charge after stepping down from the national job following the embarrassment of Belo Horizonte.

But Scolari is struggling to have much impact on results with three losses and a win since taking the reigns. He will be hoping for some home comforts this weekend in Porto Alegre, despite their poor recent form they remain solid at on their own patch with just one home league loss so far this season.

Their only reliable goal scorer so far has been Argentinean striker Hernan Barcos but he is expected to be missing after picking up a knock so Fernandinho will start in his place, he is still waiting to get off the mark for his new team.

Corinthians will travel to Rio Grande do Sul on the back of Thursday's 5-2 win over Goias and in strong form. Undefeated in ten in the league and sitting third in the table they seem to be improving game by game.

The basis for their success as usual has been their simply outstanding defensive record with only nine goals conceded all season so far. Goal keeper Cassio and the back four in front of him are rarely caught out and if manager Mano Menezes can get the best out of his forwards Corinthians could really challenge for the title this season.

The 'Timao' are still to loose on their travels in the league and have kept five clean sheets from their seven away games so don't expect a goal fest on Sunday. Looking at the under 2.5 goals market matches involving Corinthians have been under for 25 of their last 27 matches and that can't be ignored.

After his hatrick heroics on Thursday Luciano will be pushing for a start up front and that may see Sunderland target Paolo Guerrero benched. Whoever starts one goal might be enough to get the job done.

Recommended Bets:
Back Corinthians clean sheet @ 3.211/5
Back the draw @ 3.185/40
