Dutch star linked with White Hart Lane switch - Transfer Rumours

Memphis Depay could be set for White Hart Lane

Not too many big names being linked with moves today in the media but Spurs are looking at a youth Dutch starlet reports Alex Johnson.

Tottenham have been handed hope in their pursuit of PSV Eindhoven forward Memphis Depay, after he stalled on penning a new deal.

The 20-year-old, who impressed for Holland at the World Cup, is reported to be waiting until the end of the transfer window before making a decision on his future.

Footylatest.com understands that the winger is unhappy with the club's summer business but is prepared to give the board time to bring in some added quality before the close of the window. Depay is regarded as a prized asset by PSV and will cost Spurs a fee of €10million, plus Nacer Chadli.

The Daily Mail has reported that Championship side Bolton Wanderers are looking to secure a season-long loan deal for Liverpool winger Jordan Ibe.

The 18-year-old is highly-rated but is currently unable to establish himself in the first team, with Raheem Sterling, Adam Lallana, Lazar Markovic and Philippe Coutinho all ahead of him in the pecking order.

The struggling Championship side are hopeful that the lure of playing regularly in a competitive league will be enough to tempt the former Wycombe man into joining. Ibe spent part of last season on loan with Birmingham, making 11 appearances and netting once in the process.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is not yet finished with his summer spending and the Daily Mirror understands that Lazio midfielder Alvaro Gonzalez is his next target. The Dutchman has been left with a rebuilding job over the summer and he believes the Uruguay international could be the key to strengthening the heart of his side.

Reports have suggested that the Serie A side are asking for 8million for a man who enhanced his reputation at the World Cup this summer.

Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Douglas Costa is keen on securing a move away if a big offer arrives, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a switch to AC Milan this summer as he looks to find a route out of war-torn Ukraine.

The 23-year-old attracted interest from a number of clubs due to his performances last term but there is yet to be a formal approach for his services. The forward admitted that he hopes to retrace the footsteps of his compatriot Ronaldinho by joining the San Siro side, but he must now wait patiently for an exit strategy.
