Ashley Young was among the goals as United beat Real Madrid
We're getting a bonus round of the biggest clash in English football when these two giants meet in the final of the International Champions Cup on Monday night...
Louis van Gaal will get an early taste of his team's fierce rivalry with Liverpool when Manchester United face their old foe in the final of the International Champions Cup on Monday.
Both were victorious in their final group games on Saturday night to set up the clash which will be played at 1am UK time and screened live on Sky Sports.
United - unbeaten during the pre-season - defeated a Real Madrid side featuring Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Xabi Alonso 3-1 thanks to two goals from Ashley Young and one from Javier Hernandez. Former United star Cristiano Ronaldo came on during the second-half to the delight of the 109,318 strong crowd but was unable to change the game around.
Liverpool had no problem seeing off an out of form AC Milan side with a goal in each half settling matters. Joe Allen and Suso were the scorers.
The Betfair markets are just developing but it looks as though there will be very little to separate the two teams.
Liverpool were victorious in both league clashes with United last season, but were defeated in the Capital One Cup.
